Mark, Chris and Marty completed our move without any problems and just got on with the job. The attention to detail including the door covering, bannister cover and floor covering meant that our property was protected whilst our belongings were taken into our new home. We had absolute confidence in them all. It was worth every penny and glad we chose this removal company.

We moved from Surrey to Dorset at the end of March 2025. We took quotes from two companies for packing and moving the contents of a seven bedroom house. Johnsons were prompt to reply and quick to visit. They impressed us with their sense of purpose and professionalism and, even though they were marginally more expensive, we chose them. At no stage have we ever had any reason to doubt the wisdom of that decision. The six man team that handled our move were all thoroughly nice people who went out of their way to help us and make sure that the move went as smoothly as possible. So far as we were concerned, everything ran like clockwork and all our needs were attended to on an unfailingly good natured and helpful basis. Mark and the team were simply excellent and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to other people. The second part of this review deals with the return to us of some furniture and other possessions that had been in store with Johnsons for some 18 months. The return was handled by a two man team who turned up on time and carried everything to the appropriate destination in our house. This included carrying several relatively heavy items 75 m to a storage shed. Everything was done quickly and efficiently and with great patience. This completed what turned out to be a very positive experience and we are most grateful for all the help provided.

Johnsons were helpful, polite and efficient throughout the moving process. Whether it was our initial enquiry or the move itself everyone was lovely and made a tricky process run smoothly.

We used Johnson’s as knew of them when we lived locally to Shaftesbury. We had a complicated house move where our exchange date kept changing but even with this they managed to fit our move in. Although they could not deliver our furniture due to lack of men they kept our stuff on the lorry in their secure unit with no extra charges for two weeks. I cannot thank them enough for everything and the team of packers were exceptional, big shout out to Tim. Thank you all once again.

Thank you for handling my items so carefully! A great team of people to pack and load my goods for storage, they have been returned over a year later, delivered back by Martin & Brad. The containers were emptied efficiently and all with a smile… thank you!

first class service – prompt arrival and fully loaded from house , shed , garage and garden in 2 hrs . Everything was well secured in the lorry , and even though they had difficulty with the venders removals ( who arrived about 5 hrs late !) they still managed to work around and speedily put the items in places specified . 100% recommend

Moving a grand piano from one room to another May sound simple but proves tricky when it involves going via a muddy rain soaked garden. The trio from Johnsons managed this without leaving any evidence of the passage across the garden and the new, light coloured carpet in the piano’s new surroundings remained spotless. A good careful job.

After a 2-year conveyance I was finally ready to leave my oversized property and move to a smaller place in Pulham, Dorset. However, there was a three month gap and so everything was moved seamlessly by Johnsons to their storage, then seamlessly again to my new property which was redecorated throughout beforehand. The Johnsons team didn't leave a single mark on anything. Wonderful! I can't praise them more highly! Thank you Johnsons of Shaftesbury!

Excellent service!! Arrived on time. Very considerate with our indoor cats, very polite and made the process of moving easy! Meet us at our new home the next day and unloaded everything quick and efficient!! Would recommend to any locating to Shaftesbury or surrounding areas.

Two and a half trucks, unpacked into feeder vans thanks to our tricky property access, and Johnson’s took it all in their stride. Over 300 boxes, 296 plant pots and every piece of that jigsaw was packed and handled with care, and everything arrived intact. Not one breakage, no damage; just faultless service. Five stars doesn’t even cover it. A huge thank you to Mark, Michael, Chris and Harry, and the rest of the crew who made it all happen on 25 September 2025.
